On 14 June, the Oldenburg University Society (UGO) and the Konzert AG of the Institute of Music presented a special kind of summer concert in the university auditorium. Under the motto "coffeehouse unplugged", the pop and jazz choir, the Ossietzky Singers, the Ossietzky percussion ensemble and Johanne Mey as a soloist on the organ performed. There was much applause from the numerous listeners who were able to enjoy the performances over coffee and cake. Under the direction of musicologist Prof. Dr Susanne Binas-Preisendörfer, two concerts have been planned and organised by media, art and music students every year since 2015 on the basis of an agreement with the UGO, in which only music groups from the university perform.
