A radio tour of the campus

Campus radio has been telling stories from the University of Oldenburg for three years. The team will be presenting some of these stories in an interactive podcast tour until 30 April.

With the Carl-O.-Radio Tour, the young editors bring the audio pieces to the respective locations. Listeners will learn interesting facts about facilities, projects and current topics - and about the people who study, work and are involved here. Where is the university's observatory located? What is the AStA food distribution centre all about? What does Beethoven have to do with pop music? And why is the cafeteria one of the most important places at the university?

There are signs with QR codes at 14 stations on the Haarentor campus and the Wechloy campus. When these are scanned, the podcast starts with a three- to five-minute film about the respective location. The stations do not follow any particular order - those interested can decide individually which story they would like to hear next.

The podcast is an interactive way of getting to know the campus, especially for new students. The tour is taking place for the second time this summer semester. The audio samples can be discovered at the individual stations until 30 April.
