"Borderless Medicine - The European Medical School Oldenburg-Groningen" is the topic of the next short lecture in the "Uni am Markt" series on Saturday, 22 September at 11.00 a.m. in the Exerzierhalle at Pferdemarkt.
Prof. Dr Eckhart Hahn, Dean of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, will provide insights into the model degree programme and University Medicine Oldenburg. The event is organised by the university's Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) and the Oldenburg State Theatre. Admission is free.
The teaching concept of the European Medical School is practice-orientated and research-based - and offers the opportunity to apprentice highly qualified doctors for the north-west region. A special feature of the training programme is the student exchange. Following the Groningen model, this also includes research in cross-location projects. Oldenburg students spend at least one year of their six-year training programme in Groningen, while Groningen students have the opportunity to study in Oldenburg for one year.
