• central contact for all doctoral candidates who have questions/concerns about their doctorate.
• advise on questions concerning our doctoral students and make recommendations to the organs of the university, e.g. the senate and faculty council: University Senate and Faculty Council.
• As advisory members, we represent the doctoral candidates in the University Senate and in the Faculty Councils.
• The basis of our work is § 9 para. 4 sentence 3 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG):

"The doctoral candidate representation advises on issues concerning doctoral candidates and makes recommendations on this to the organs of the university."
