In the Department of Sociology and Sports Sociology, all staff members are admitted to supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses. However, theses are only accepted by all if students have previously presented their project idea in an office hour(guidelines for office hours). The topic should be chosen by the student and developed into a one-page exposé(Guidelines for the preparation of an exposé) in advance of the office hours.
The formal design of the thesis should be based on the guidelines available from the Examinations Office and those of the German Association for Sports Science. The learning workshop of the Central Student Advisory Service also offers assistance.
