The Department for Research and Technology Transfer is responsible for the disclosure and commercialisation of scientific inventions at the University of Oldenburg.

In view of increasingly limited public funding for higher education institutions, the university leadership is committed to working closely with the State of Lower Saxony to make effective use of the University of Oldenburg’s research potential.

The Department for Research and Technology Transfer manages this process in coordination with the Presidential Board and in cooperation with the technology transfer agency InnoWi GmbH (Bremen).

The handling of inventions and patents at the University of Oldenburg is governed by a policy adopted by the Presidential Board, which outlines the key procedures.
