Besides the general provision of study and research literature, the Library and Informations System (BIS) offers numerous other services for teaching, research and publishing.

Teaching

The contact persons in our Research Services team provide various services for your teaching e.g.:

• acquisition of teaching literature,
• subject librarians offer individual support for teaching personnel as well as for students,
• training courses embedded in regular courses or as stand-alone classes (how to get the most out of your library, literature-research strategies, reference management etc.),
• support when using the media technology in the seminar rooms and auditoriums.

Research

Our research support comprises information and support on

• research data management (data repository DARE, funding applications, training etc.),
• Digital Humanities by our  DH service as well as on the
• university bibliografy.

Publishing

The publication services of the university library include 

• the University of Oldenburg Press (UOLP),
• the print shop and media design team and
• as a major area support of authors in Open Access Publishing:
  • Open Access Publication Fund (prerequities, procedures, DEAL agreements etc.),
  • NiedersachsenOPEN funding program
  • Open Access Publishers
