Fast track to a part-time bachelor's degree in business administration

The cooperation with the Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie VWA makes it possible: business economists can complete their Bachelor's degree in just four semesters.

Business economists who have completed their training at the VWA Oldenburg Academy of Administration and Business can seamlessly enter a part-time Bachelor's degree course in business administration at the University of Oldenburg in the coming summer semester. With the "Fast track Bachelor for Business Economists (VWA)", graduates can obtain a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree within four semesters. They will receive 90 credit points for their VWA degree, meaning that they only need to earn a further 90 credit points for their Bachelor's degree. Applications can be submitted online until February 15 at uol.de/bwl/bewerbung. The cooperation is supported by the City of Oldenburg's Economic Development Agency.

"The cooperation between the VWA and the university offers companies and their employees many advantages," emphasizes Tim Zentner, Managing Director of the C3L - Center for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oldenburg. The permeable further education model enables companies to develop long-term prospects for their own talents. "Further education and Bachelor's degree courses take place in the region and can be completed alongside work," Zentner continues. This means that employees are available to companies at all times.

"VWA-Oldenburg and one of its sponsors, the University of Oldenburg, are now even more closely linked than before. We are very pleased that we can now offer VWA participants the opportunity to obtain a full university degree in addition to the extra-occupational further training with the goal of "Betriebswirt/in, VWA"," explains Volker Trautmann, Chairman of the VWA Board. "The VWA and the Center for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oldenburg are thus making an important contribution to tackling the problem of the shortage of skilled workers," continued Trautmann.

The part-time Bachelor's degree course at the C3L - Center for Lifelong Learning covers business fundamentals in business administration and economics, law and finance, controlling, marketing and human resources. Students can also specialize in promising fields of work such as sustainability management, online marketing, digital business models or sports management. The practical modules focus on working together on projects. Students learn online and in compact workshops on site. The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree is internationally recognized and qualifies students for admission to a Master's degree course.
