Special admission requirements
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Neuroscience, Biology or in another related field of the natural sciences and mathematics (e.g., Psychology, Engineering, Informatics).
- English language proficiency at level B2 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Proof of language proficiency by a university degree obtained in English or through one of the following language certificates: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English Language Assessment, etc.

Admission process
With a first degree from Germany you need to apply online from December 15th, 2025 until January 15th, 2026 for the beginning of Sommersemester 2026.
Your documents need to be at the University of Oldenburg until January 15th, 2026.
Transferring into a higher semester is only possible
- if you had studied already in a same degree programme or
- if you have gained already credits from another degree programme and the Examinations Office of the University of Oldenburg will confirm the recognition of study periods and examinations.
