The Presidential Board of the University, as the "responsible party" according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is concerned to prevent breaches of personal data protection as far as possible. To this end, it takes appropriate technical and organisational measures and is supported in this by the data protection management and the information security management.

To the extent that such breaches of personal data protection lead to a risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, the University is also obliged to report them to the competent supervisory authority. Such a report is made exclusively by the data protection management in close consultation with the Presidential Board.
