It is important to the Presidential Board of the University, as the "controller" under the General Data ProtectionRegulation (GDPR), to avoid personaldata breaches as far as possible. To this end, it takes appropriate technical and organisational measures and is supported in this by the Data Protection Managementand Information Security Management.

Should you nevertheless become aware of such breaches and/or violations of data protection regulations, please report them immediately to the data protection management.

Insofar as such breaches of personal data protection lead to a risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, the university is also obliged to report them to the responsible supervisory authority. Such a report is made exclusively by the data protection management in close coordination with the Presidential Board.

As a general rule, it is better to inform the data protection management team once too often than once too little!
