13 productions in one week. Eight exclusive workshops. From 26 November to 2 December, the Oldenburg State Theatre invites students to the first TheatreCampus. It demands: "'More drama'" - in student life too".

"We firmly believe that students have a little time left over for culture between seminars and studying. They are interested in our theatre and our work," explains General Director Markus Müller. That is why he is inviting all students to the first TheatreCampus at the Oldenburg State Theatre. This means that during the TheatreCampus, students can attend all performances for five euros - in all seats. And the programme has it all: a total of 13 productions are on the programme. These include the operas "Die Zauberflöte" and "La Bohème", Schiller's "Kabale und Liebe", the musical evening "Song Of My Life", the plays "Willkommen in Theben" and "Männer mit Krone" as well as the avant-garde dance-techno frenzy "Plafona".

But that's not all: "What's the best way to get students excited about theatre?" continues Müller. "By putting them in direct contact with the theatre makers, of course - with these 'positive weirdos' who have dedicated all their passion to theatre." This is why staff and members of the ensemble offer exclusive and free workshops for students at the TheaterCampus and provide an insight into theatre life and the work behind the scenes. Students can learn directly from the General Director how to run a theatre, improvise with a young actor, have a stage design model explained to them in the workshops, test their voice with opera singer Paul Brady, discuss what they have seen with dramaturges and much more.

Advance ticket sales for the TheatreCampus have already begun. Registration for the workshops and information on the programme at www.staatstheater.de/theatercampus.
