Scientific symposium and networking meeting with alumni

The Departments of Neuroscience and Psychology have joined forces and, with the support of the Research Centre Neurosensory Science, are organising a scientific symposium with alumni of both departments on 20th September 2022 from 13.00 to 19.00 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Oldenburg University Medical School. Former students and doctoral students who have remained in science (outside the University of Oldenburg) and continue to work on research projects are invited as speakers.

The current plans are for seven invited alumni (four from psychology and three from neuroscience) to present their current scientific projects/research topics and also report on what their own (career) path looked like before studying or doing their doctorate in Oldenburg and how it developed afterwards and, above all, why they remained in research. The respective scientific presentations, including discussion, are in English and take a maximum of 30 minutes.
Following the scientific lectures, more intensive networking discussions between the speakers and Master's students in their final semesters as well as doctoral students at the University of Oldenburg are planned.
The organisers are looking forward to welcoming numerous students in their final semesters and as many interested doctoral students as possible!

The symposium will take place in conference room 033/034 in the NeSSY research building on the Wechloy campus (Küpkersweg 74, 26129 Oldenburg). Registration for internal guests is via STUD.IP: https://elearning.uni-oldenburg.de/dispatch.php/course/details?sem_id=633d4d7e6a2694d1eb29bf5e00085d07&again=yes.
External guests are welcome and can register for the event via e-mail:
