Academic Empowerment
Academic Empowerment utilizes the interaction between body and mind by combining proven approaches such as the Zurich Resource Model, cognitive techniques, scientific and psychological coaching. Empowerment includes not only the promotion of academic output, but also successful networking and the strengthening of one's own personality (self-efficacy, work-life balance, resilience and confidence).
The daily schedule includes 4 writing sessions, accompanied by daily mindfulness training. Participants can also take advantage of individual coaching sessions. The aim is to sustainably strengthen female scientists in their scientific output, publications and self-image as scientists and to experience the power of “deep work”.
Period: 06. - 10.12.2024
Location: Hotel Bethanien, 26465 Langeoog
The retreat is aimed specifically at female (early career) researchers. The costs for travel to and from the retreat, accommodation at the Hotel Bethanien (approx. €120 single room/night) and meals are to be borne by the participants themselves. However, the costs may be covered by the working group / OU or, in the case of DFG collaborative projects, be settled via equal opportunities funding.
