The class is for doctoral candidates and postdocs. Each seminar date is devoted to a different topic. I encourage you to visit as many as possible, but you can also attend just the topics that fit for you, as you wish. Below are the topics for SS2026.

4. April 27 – Hedging and Tone calibration
5. May 4 - Paragraph structure & purpose sentences
6. May 11 - Grammar: Writing complex sentences (new!)
7. May 18 - Claim vs. Evidence vs. Speculation (new!)
8. May 25 - Pfingstmontag (no meeting!)
9. June 1 - Writing about graphs, visuals, and data commentary
10. June 8 - From notes to prose: turning ideas into text (new!)
11. June 15 - Grammar: Past vs. Present perfect (in academic use)
12. June 22 – Writing for your reader’s expectations (new!)
13. June 29 - Revision strategies: what to fix first (new!)
