The service was developed as part of the PLAR – Blended Counselling for Individuals with Vocational Qualifications (PLAR-BCBQ) project. The aim of the project was to optimise the counselling and support services available at the university for students and prospective students with vocational qualifications.

Do you have vocational training and work experience and want to study, but don’t have an Abitur?
For several years now, individuals with vocational qualifications have been able to gain admission to university even without an Abitur or other academic qualification granting entry to higher education. However, certain requirements must be met.
It is therefore particularly important to find out all the relevant information.
Counselling
The Study and Career Counselling Service is happy to provide information and advice on all relevant topics relating to degree programmes for individuals with vocational qualifications. These include:

- Course structure and admission requirements
- Balancing your studies, career and personal circumstances
