The Social Dynamics of Energy Transformation research platform aims to investigate the social science issues of the energy transition. In close coordination with all technical research platforms at TEN.efzn, the researchers involved examine the social dynamics of the energy transformation in their connection to the underlying technical developments.

The researchers in the "Organization & Innovation" working group examine the specific interactions between the constellations of actors and institutional structures surrounding the respective technologies. At the same time, they focus on the interdependencies between different technologies and their socio-technical constellations. The negotiation and power processes of the energy transformation play a central role and are worked out and compared in case studies.
