Institute for Social Sciences
Dear colleagues, dear students,
It is with great dismay and sadness that we must bid farewell to PD Dr Philipp Köker, who will be remembered as a scholar and a valued colleague. Over the past semesters, Philipp Köker has held the Chair of the Political System of Germany at our institute. He was highly regarded within the academic community and was well known through his wide-ranging publications and numerous media contributions on the political situation in Germany and on international political issues. Thanks to his knowledgeable and warm approach to teaching, he was very popular and highly respected amongst the students. He also enjoyed a very warm relationship with his colleagues! We shall miss him greatly!
Our thoughts and sympathies go out to his family and all those who were close to him.
Michael Feldhaus
Director of the Institute and Dean of Faculty I
