Courses offered by the Graduate Academy
The focus of the Graduate Academy's program is to offer need-based courses and workshops for all early career researchers of the university. In particular, the program encompasses transferable skills courses in the following four core areas:

- for doctoral candidates: special courses relevant in the beginning, during the writing phase and at end of the PhD phases
- for female doctoral candidates in the final phase of their PhD and female early post-doctoral fellows the Helene Lange Mentoring Programme „Perpectives. Pathways into Science” (in German only)
- for female advanced post-doctoral fellows, research group leaders, junior professors and tenure track professors the Helene Lange Mentoring Programme for Female Researchers* Progressio. Successful development in academic leadership
- for postdoctoral fellows measures to ensure equal opportunities

...in teaching and learning in higher education!
The team at Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (Hochschuldidaktik) offers a qualification program, workshops, materials, exchange formats and (individual) consultation appointments for university lecturers. In addition to fundamental topics of university didactics, other focal points include research-based learning, gender & diversity and teaching and learning with digital media.
The Day of Teaching and Learning (TdLL) brings together lecturers, students and other interested parties. Particularly successful courses are honored at the Teaching Award.
...through cooperation with BYRD / University of Bremen!
Since 2016, there has been a cooperation agreement between the universities of Bremen and Oldenburg in the area of graduate support. Doctoral candidates at the University of Oldenburg can therefore take advantage of the BYRD (Bremen Early Career Researcher Development) qualification programs. - After successfully completing a course offered by the Graduate Academy, you will receive a certificate of attendance. If you attend more than one course, we can also issue an overall certificate, listing all your courses; in this case, please contact us for further information.
- Registration is via StudIP. If you don’t have access to StudIP, please contact us via e-mail: graduiertenakademie@uol.de.
