Student podcast on climate communication

Sommersemester 2022

In a course on climate communication, a group of students quickly created their own podcast that can compete with the big ones:

Climate crisis, 1.5 degrees, Agenda 2030 - too much talked about and too little action. Why does the urgency of the climate crisis still not reach everyone? Head and shoulders - the podcast that communicates about the climate crisis. Together with experts we discuss the challenges of climate communication and get to the bottom of these questions.

Guests: Nelly Waldeck, member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament; Christopher Schrader, science journalist and Sara Schurmann, journalist and co-founder of the Climate Journalism Network.

We want to explain why people don't understand and give you the communicative tools you need to avoid talking yourself out of your skull in the next climate discussion.

You can listen to the podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcast, all other podcast platforms or right here on the website. Enjoy and feel free to recommend it to others.

Music & Climate - It's our planet

Wintersemester 2021/2022

In a music education seminar taught by Mr Volker Schindel, a group of students created the short film Music and Climate: "It's our planet".

About the short film

The seminar dealt with different forms of (musical) dealing with the climate issue and examined approaches to dealing with it in music lessons. The seminar project was a film project that should be as short, forceful and concise as possible. The film works with self-produced music and makes the acceleration and dramatic development of climate change perceptible to the senses.
