Master's Programme “Water and Coastal Management”
The Master’s programme Water and Coastal Management (WCM) is a double-degree programme which allows students to obtain two Master’s Degrees, one from the University of Oldenburg and one from the University of Groningen.
The Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg and the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen are cooperating in this unique programme. During the first year, students study in Germany; the second year is spent in the Netherlands.
The Master of Science in Water and Coastal Management offers an innovative and versatile opportunity of advanced academic education, ready to be put into practice. Taught by outstanding experts, highly conversant in environmental, socio-economic, and spatial sciences, students will be trained to manage the water and coastal resources of future societies in a sustainable way.
In Oldenburg, students have the opportunity to learn about the marine environment and to study sustainable management; the University of Groningen offers outstanding knowledge on spatial science, in particular water management and environmental and infrastructure planning. Studying this interdisciplinary programme makes the successful student an international expert in water and coastal management.
