Framework conditions for internships
The period and duration of the internship are individual. It might be reasonable to enrol as exchange student for one or two semesters.
Semester times
- Winter semester: 1 Oct – 31 March
Application for enrolment is possible until 15 July - Summer semester: 1 April – 30 Sep
Application for enrolment is possible until 15 January
Erasmus+ Internship
As part of Erasmus+, the European Commission provides scholarships for degree programme-relevant internships. An internship can last from 60 days to 12 months.
You have the opportunity to complete an internship in public or private institutions. Thus, both the University of Oldenburg and other companies and social/cultural organisations are eligible for an internship.
There does not have to be a partnership between the universities for an Erasmus+ placement at the University of Oldenburg. You have to organise the placement on your own, please proceed as described above.
For internships outside the University of Oldenburg, your contact person is the company/ organisation offering the internship. They are responsible for supporting you during your stay.
Your home university will inform you about the application requirements and formalities for financial support.
