You should expect to spend about EUR 1000 per month for accommodation, health insurance, and food.

Accommodation: EUR 200 to 450
Health insurance: approx. EUR 140
Food: EUR 250 to 350
"Rundfunkbeitrag": monthly amount of EUR 18,36 per flat (can be splitted between flatmates)
Miscellaneous expenses (e.g. leisure, books, materials, etc.)

Semester contribution (including semester ticket): EUR 382,90 for students of partner universities and DAAD scholarship holders, EUR 457,90 for Freemover (as of winter semester 2026/2027)
Residence permit for students from non-EU countries: EUR 110
Intensive German language course during semester break: EUR 250
Trips for international students: EUR 60 to 80 per weekend-trip
