Photo competition "Catch the noise with your mobile phone or digicam"
Capture the university noise in a photo, no matter where you find it on campus. The only restriction: The conditions of participation
Send noise photos by 25 May 2010 as a jpg file to:
hoersensible@uol.de.
The preselection will be made by a jury. The winning photos will be determined by a public vote on the Stud-IP learning platform from 28 May to 11 June 2010.
The best photos will be rewarded with attractive prizes during the Week of Silence from 14 to 16 June 2010:
- Breakfast for two at Prosecco
- Hand-signed Spalding ball from the EWE Baskets
- Werder Bremen jerseys
- WM ball from the company Sport Duwe
- Voucher from the university bookshop
- 5x two tickets for the VfL Oldenburg women's handball Bundesliga match
- Cinema evening for two at Casablanca
Conditions of participation
Who can take part?
Anyone can take part. Professional photographers and members of the Hearing-Sensitive University working group are excluded. The prerequisite is that the photo is submitted as a digital file on CD or by email (hoersensible@uol.de).
Copyright
The participant assures that he or she owns all rights to the submitted photo, that the photo is free of third-party rights and that no personal rights are violated in the depiction of persons. If one or more persons are recognisably depicted in the photo, the persons concerned must agree to the photo being published. The participant will provide written confirmation of the above on request. Should third parties nevertheless assert claims for infringement of their rights, the participant shall indemnify the organisers against all claims.
Liability
The Hearing-Sensitive University working group accepts no liability for the loss of or any damage to the photos or files submitted.
Granting of rights
By submitting their photos, each participant grants the organiser free of charge the non-exclusive rights of use, unlimited in terms of space, time and content, including the right to edit the submitted photos for the competition, reporting on it (regardless of the media, i.e. print and online, among others), public relations work of and for the photo competition(s), exhibition posters, invitations, exhibitions, e-cards and, if applicable, first editions of catalogues and books. Should photos be utilised for further commercial purposes outside the competition, e.g. for the production of merchandising products, the participant will receive an offer to conclude an agreement to this effect.
Data protection
The personal data submitted by the entrants will be passed on to participating third parties, such as magazine editors or exhibition organisers, in the event of publication of the images as part of the photo competition (reporting on this, award ceremony, etc.). The entrant expressly agrees to this.
