Same procedure as every year: Jade Career Day

Just like in the preceeding years, ICBM took part in the Jade Carrer Day at the Jade University of Applied Sciences yesterday. This annual event, traditionally realised on Penance day, is meant to inform future students and apprentices about academic and professional career chances at the participating institutions and enterprises.

Wilhelmshaven. The ICBM collaborates tightly with the Department of Engineering Sciences at the Jade University of Applied Sciences, referring to the consecutive degree programme Marine Technology (BSEng)/ Marine Sensors (MSc).

Further information on corresponding study courses and career chances was given by Dipl. Ing. Volker Lübben (Jade Univ. of Appl. Sci.) and Dr. Jan Schulz (ICBM) in a joint lecture, which was attended by a good number of prospective students. Schulz outlined the manifold facettes of marine technology in general as well as those of marine sensor technology. Lübben added information on the curricula of the study courses and also did not forget to mention the new research aircraft, encouraging future students to have at least one flight over the Wadden Sea.

Moreover, Marine Sensor Systems Group staff member at ICBM Michaela Gerriets as well as Marine Sensors student Claudia Thölen informed potential students about their experiences in the joint study programme as well as the excellent career chances, especially against the background of the installation of the new Centre for Marine Sensor Systems in Wilhelmshaven. They were supported by Dr. Sibet Riexinger and Dr. Jan Schulz (both ICBM).
