Working Group for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
The Advisory Group for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (Arbeitsstelle Hochschuldidaktik) is composed of faculty representatives from all schools. The group reports to the Vice President for Instruction and International Affairs. The advisory group facilitates cooperation between the faculty members and university administration in matters regarding academic teaching and professional development. In this way, the group works towards ensuring the high quality of teaching at the University of Oldenburg.
The advisory group’s task is to critically examine the content and framework of the workshop program and to initiate further topics and course offerings. In the future, the group will focus on expanding our professional development and workshop program and will function as an advisory body in developing new educational formats.
Furthermore, the advisory group is actively involved in the nomination and selection process of Award for Excellence in Teaching. By honoring instructors making outstanding contributions to the students’ learning experience, this award brings public attention to excellence in teaching at the University of Oldenburg.
