Making your work visible beyond your own Institute - the Doctoral Candidates' Day on Wednesday, 7 November, 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., offers this opportunity to all doctoral candidates in the social sciences and humanities subjects.
The opening lecture on the topic "From product to process. Reform of doctoral training in the context of the Bologna Process" will be given by Prof Dr Barbara Kehm, expert in higher education research at the University of Kassel. In addition, around 20 doctoral students from various subjects will present their research projects for discussion in the lecture theatre centre. The programme includes both lectures and poster presentations. The aim is to present different doctoral projects in a wider interdisciplinary context and to promote dialogue between young researchers. The public event is organised by the Graduate School of Social Sciences and Humanities (3GO).
Around 400 doctoral students are currently conducting research in School I to IV. The topics range from economics and cultural studies to social sciences and education. The aim of the Doctoral Candidates' Day is to establish an interdisciplinary contact forum for young academics at the university.
