Why do we need diversity? Our group Plant Biodiversity and Evolution is interested in questions relating to the variation within species and speciation, in particular hybridization and polyploidy, as well as the influence of the mating system on the evolution of plants. Specific projects range from northwestern Germany to New Zealand and with wild plants and crops. See Research page for details.
