The workshop will focus on the concept of human dignity. The first question to be asked is what is actually meant by human dignity and whether it is an inherent characteristic of human beings or rather an open-ended social mandate to shape and act. In addition to questions about current threats to human dignity, the workshop will also focus on personal experiences and the relevance of human dignity in politics, professional life and everyday life.
The workshop will be conducted by Prof Dr Tonio Oeftering from the Institute of Social Sciences.
