There is hardly any other sector that offers so many interesting and exciting apprenticeship opportunities under one roof as a university. The University of Oldenburg, too, has been providing highly successful training for decades – across a total of ten professional fields. Over the coming weeks, 15 young people will be starting their apprenticeships: “We warmly welcome you to our workshops, laboratories and offices. You can look forward to a varied range of tasks, attractive terms and conditions with many additional benefits, and genuine career prospects,” said Jörg Stahlmann, Vice-President for Administration and Finance, as he welcomed the new recruits. “The University will support you wholeheartedly on your path to becoming skilled professionals – after all, we are one of the region’s largest employers and, in this role, we also bear a special responsibility,” Stahlmann continued.
’s range of apprenticeships at the University of Oldenburg spans from trade and technical roles through laboratory work to administrative positions. In August, two chemical laboratory assistants, two administrative assistants, a gardener specialising in horticulture and landscaping, two female precision mechanics and one male precision mechanic, two IT specialists and an animal keeper had already begun their apprenticeships. Four electronics technicians specialising in equipment and systems will follow in September.
