University apprenticeship
The University of Oldenburg advertises training places for the following year in September of each year. You can apply for a training place at the university during the advertised period.
Further training places are advertised at the beginning of February after the half-year results.
Apprenticeships usually start on 01 August.

Remuneration and working hours
The monthly training allowance for apprentices is currently:
| in the first year of training | €1,296.82 |
| in the second year of training | €1,350.96 |
| in the third year of training | €1,400.61 |
| in the fourth year of training | €1,469.51 |
Apprentices who are in a training contract on 1 December are entitled to an annual bonus.
The weekly working hours are 39.8 hours, and annual leave is 30 days per year.
Perspectives
The aim is to take on apprentices for a period of at least 12 months; if there are vacancies that can be filled, they may be offered permanent employment.
