Welcome to the website of the Department of Educational Psychology

The "Educational Psychology" working group is particularly concerned with the general and individual prerequisites for successful learning and teaching as well as the current challenges based on the diversity of learners. How people learn and how best to support them in this process is the focus of our endeavours. In addition, the WG provides teaching expertise in the modules of teacher training and pedagogy programmes.

The research focus of the working group is as follows:

  • Cognitive, social-emotional development at pre-school and primary school age
  • Methods of early childhood research

  • Sleep development from infants to young adults
