Digital Humanities
Digital Humanities stands for the combination of research methods, tools and resources in informatics and information sciences with the questions and applications in the humanities, cultural sciences, as well as language and social sciences. The aim of this interdisciplinary research area is to open a new approach to „traditional” humanities' questions through the application of digital technologies and consequently allow for new findings.
Digital Humanities Services
The university library opened its Digital Humanities Services in October 2024. The service portfolio is currently being developed. It will include consulting, further education and networking. Results of a survey (in fourth quarter of 2024) will help determine the researchers' requirements with regard to digital humanities. The survey results are expected to be presented at the beginning of the summer semester 2025. If you have any questions or need advice, feel free to contact Jonas Kaiser, the Digital Humanities Officer.
