The easiest way to get to the room is to take the entrance for buildings A01- A04 from Uhlhornsweg (green arrow)

The Haarentor campus  is served by lines 306 "Universität", 310 "Wehnen/Famila-Center" and 324 "Infanterieweg". The bus-stop is called „Uni/Campus Haarentor”.

For people arriving by bus from the city-center:
You will most likely arrive at the bus stop at Ammerländer Heerstraße (green circle in the map above)

 

Workshop Dinner:

The workshop dinner will take place on Wednesday 19.00 at Ratskeller Oldenburg, Markt 1, 26122 Oldenburg.

 

Hotels

Please note that the Kramermarkt (a funfair) takes place from 30.09 to 09.10 in Oldenburg. Right now, there are still many hotel rooms available, but it might be advisable  to book a room soon.

Traveling to Oldenburg

Oldenburg is located in the north-west of Germany and can be reached by air, car and tail. You can find all information on the city’s webpage.

Airplane

The closest international airport is Bremen (BRE), that is connected via train to Oldenburg.

Train

If you want to travel by train, you likely arrive at Oldenburg main station. While there are a few ICE and IC connection directly stopping in Oldenburg, you typically use a intercity connection (ICE,IC) to Bremen or Hannover and continue with regional trains to Oldenburg. Car

Coming from the Autobahn junction Oldenburg-Ost you take the A28 to Emden/Leer. Leave the Autobahn on Exit Haarentor and take a right turn into Ammerländer Heerstraße at the first traffic lights. Follow the street for 800 meters and turn left into Uhlhornsweg at the second intersection

Local Travel

Depending on where you stay the workshop location and/or the city center is in walking distance. You may also want to rent a bike (OLi-Bike by nextbike) or E-scooter. Oldenburg has a great bike-infrastructure and nearly no hills. Furthermore, the public transportation system offers you a convenient way to get around in Oldenburg.
