There are various ways for international students at German universities to apply for financial support in the form of a scholarship.

You should allow approximately 6–12 months to plan and complete a scholarship application.

Oldenburg Model Scholarship Programme (STOM)

• for non-European students
• Tuition fees are covered for 1–2 semesters
• Applications must be submitted by the end of the first academic semester
• Application deadline: 15 January each year

Graduation Scholarship (STIBET)

• for international students in their final year of study
• Financing by the DAAD
• Applications for the summer semester in December, for the winter semester in June
