Digital Teaching and Learning Lab
Digital Teaching and Learning Lab
The digital Teaching and Learning Lab (digi-TaLL) is intended to be a physical space at School IV that offers teachers and students a protected environment to try out digital teaching and learning scenarios together or separately. Teachers should have the opportunity to experiment with the technology; students can try out the digital technology alone or collaboratively and then use it for their studies.
The lab is intended as a digitally supported teaching and learning space that allows students and teachers, regardless of their previous knowledge, to tap into the potential of hybrid teaching and learning scenarios for their own learning and teaching, to train themselves in the use of digital media and to familiarise themselves with the technology provided for this purpose. In this way, a contribution is to be made to flexibilising, differentiating and strengthening the didactic and methodological diversity of teaching/learning courses at the University of Oldenburg and to promote the development and dissemination of digitally supported teaching/learning formats. Teachers and students should be invited to actively participate in the design of the lab in order to make it an integral part of the teaching/learning culture at the Carl von Ossietzky University.
The University of Oldenburg will remain an on-campus university in the future. However, the new room structures to be created can enable lecturers to further develop their courses by incorporating digital elements, to try out new teaching/learning formats and forms of collaboration with students and to continue their training with regard to the design of digital teaching/learning scenarios and the use of digital offerings (digital literacy).
In this respect, the equipment and use of the premises proposed in this draft is particularly in line with the digitalisation strategy at Carl von Ossietzky University and the objectives of the participate project.
The digi-Tall has yet to be set up at School IV.
