German Studies in the M.Ed. Primary School

In the subject German Studies in the M.Ed. G, you will study the module MM "Fachdidaktik mit fachwissenschaftlichem Anteil" (ger800) worth 9 CP.

The MM "Subject-specific didactics with a specialised component" (ger800), which is only offered in winter semester, is made up as follows
(Note: All information on course numbers and titles for winter semester 22/23):

• 1 didactic lecture
  (2 SWS; in winter semester 22/23 3.01.291, course time to be announced)
  
• 1 didactic seminar
  (2 SWS, in winter semester 22/23 to be selected from 3.01.292 to 3.01.2994)
  
• 1 specialised lecture
  (offered in WiSe 22/23: 3.01.281 by Prof. Dr. Jörg Peters (1 SWS) and 3.01.282 by Prof. Dr. Thomas Boyken(1 SWS)).
  (A specialised seminar is not offered in WiSe 22/23, i.e. You register for lecture 3.01.281, are then automatically imported into 3.01.282 by the start of the lecture period at the latest, take part in both lectures and then decide in which of the two lectures you take an examination.

The specialised lectures run as a two-hour course for the entire lecture period of the winter semester!

If you would like to complete your project module in German Studies, you must also attend the preparatory seminar for the project module in the winter semester. This assumes that you have already attended the ger800 module in winter semester 22/23. Several preparatory seminars are offered. In winter semester 22/23, these are as of today (22/07/22):

• 10.31.201 - Preparation for the language didactics project for the subject of German
• 10.31.202 - Preparation for the literature didactics project for primary schools

In addition, you must complete the practical phase in the subject German as well as in your other subject and attend a preparatory course in winter semester 22/23. This runs over the entire lecture period of winter semester 22/23 with 2 SWS. (In winter semester 22/23, you can select from 10.31.301, 10.31.302, 10.31.303, 10.31.304 and 10.31.305, all of which are entitled "Preparation for the practical phase in the subject of German". Course 10.31.302 is assigned to the teaching degree Hauptschule/Realschule, the others are assigned to the teaching degree Grundschule).

Please note: You must always attend the subject didactics lecture and the subject didactics seminar of ger800 in the same semester.
If the project band is completed in German Studies, the entire ger800 module must be completed before the project band and in one semester (see subject-specific appendix German Studies of the PO for the M.Ed. Grundschule, point 5 below the table).

German Studies in the M.Ed. Hauptschule/Realschule

You will study two modules in the subject German Studies in the M.Ed. HR: ger771 "Subject Didactics" and ger805 "Linguistic and Literary Specialisation for Teacher Education Students", each worth 6 CP.

The MM "Subject Didactics" (ger771), which is only offered in the winter semester, is made up as follows
(Note: All information on course numbers and titles for the winter semester 21/22):

• 1 didactic lecture
  (2 SWS; in WiSe 22/23 3.01.291, course time to be announced)
  
• 1 didactic seminar
  (2 SWS, in winter semester 22/23 to be selected from 3.01.292 to 3.01.2994)

ger805 also only takes place in the winter semester and consists of 2 one-hour lectures:

• 3.01.281 Fundamentals of linguistics for teaching German: primary school, secondary school, special needs education.
• 3.01.282 Literary basics for teaching German: primary school, secondary school, special needs education.

If you would like to complete your project module in German Studies, you must also attend the preparatory seminar for the project module in the winter semester. This assumes that you have already attended modules ger771 and ger805 in winter semester 22/23. Several preparatory seminars are offered. According to the current status (22.7.22), these are in winter semester 22/23:

• 10.31.201 - Preparation for the language didactics project for the subject of German
• 10.31.202 - Preparation for the literature didactics project for primary schools

In addition, you must complete the practical phase in the subject German as well as in your other subject and attend a preparatory course in winter semester 22/23. This runs over the entire lecture period of winter semester 22/23 with 2 SWS. (In winter semester 22/23 this is 10.31.302 for Hauptschule/Realschule).

Please note: You must complete the ger771 module in one semester, as the lecture and seminar are linked.
If the project band is completed in German Studies, ger771 and ger805 must be completed before the project band and in one semester (see subject-specific appendix German Studies of the PO for the M.Ed. HR, point 5 below the table).
