  • GERAADA Follow-Up of the GERAADA (German Registry for Acute Type A Dissection of the Aorta) Registry - Since the beginning of 2010, approximately 4000 data sets of patients operated on for acute type A dissection of the aorta have been collected from 50 German heart centres.   • National quality assurance for the treatment of AHF The aim is to establish mandatory national quality assurance on the basis of centralised data collection and evaluation of all cardiac surgery and catheter interventional procedures for congenital heart defects.   • German Aortic Valve Registry: The registry is the joint responsibility of the German Society for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (DGTHG) and the German Society for Cardiology-Heart and Circulation Research (DGK). For interventions in which diseased aortic valves have to be replaced, standardised data on the course of treatment is collected by the hospitals with the consent of the patients and transmitted to the registry.
