In order to strengthen and expand their cooperation in research, teaching and transfer, the Presidential Boards of both universities adopted a "Roadmap for Cooperation 2023-2028" in Oldenburg in June 2023. The joint strategy paper of Nelson Mandela University and the University of Oldenburg covers eight central fields of action.
