GHR 300
In Lower Saxony's education policy, "GHR 300" is the name given to the process of fundamentally restructuring the teaching degree programmes for primary, secondaryand intermediate schools.
The programme will be extended from four to five years in total and will therefore comprise 300 CP for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes together in future.
The aim is to increase the proportion of specialised studies in the degree programme in order to promote the doctoral ability of teacher training students. In addition, the implementation of a five-month practical phase in the second Master's semester will make it possible to test acquired didactic qualifications in practice at an earlier stage.
Changes to BA - from winter semester 2013/14
- Increase in the proportion of subjects in the degree programme from 108 to 120 CP in both subjects and thus alignment with Bachelor's degree without teacher training orientation → Proportion of area of specialisation reduced
- resulting in a new curriculum structure for the BA in Material Culture: Textile from winter semester 2013/14
Changes to M. Ed. GHR - from winter term 2014/15
- Extension of the degree programme from two to four semesters
- Integrated, five-month practical phase in the second semester → originally planned shortening of the preparatory service by six months does not take place, however
- During the practical phase, a so-called "research volume" = research project carried out by the students on topics related to school teaching and specialised didactics
