Furthermore Cascade Use has a strong connection to other institutions. Our international partner in China, Shanghai, is Prof. Chen Ming of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (School of Mechanical Engineering). Prof. Chen Ming is one of the leading experts in car remanufacturing in China.
Prof. Chen Ming and Dr.-Ing. Alexandra Pehlken are collaborating since 2010 and agreed to intensify their research on international level on the "International Auto Recycling & Remanufacture Forum” on 22nd April 2013 in Shanghai. Dr.-Ing. Alexandra Pehlken was invited as speaker to present her ideas on the sustainable approach of materials cascade use of car components and CO2 Emission savings through recycling. One phd-student of Prof. Chen Ming will work in the Cascade Use Group for three years.
Prof. Chen Ming of Shanghai Jiao Tong University came to visit Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg from June 1st to June 6th 2015 and was invited to meet the President Prof. Dr. K. Al Shamery. Prof. Chen Ming is strongly cooperating with the research Group Cascade Use. This June Prof. Chen Ming was accompanied by three of of his Phd students who participated in the summer school "How efficient is electro mobility" in the Hanse Wissenschaftskolleg. The summer school was supported and co-organized by Cascade Use. You can find the link to the event here.
Prof. Chen Ming himself was giving a presentation on the following conference on e-mobility and he gave some insights in the Chinese developments.
