Material and Energy Flow Analyses, expert in questions regarding waste management and sampling of solid wastes, safety and quality manager (TÜV Nord), current research focus in the fields of biomass, wind power and automotive recycling.
Between 1992 and 1997 I studied mining, with emphasis on beneficiation, at the RWTH Aachen. Since I enjoy dealing with resources, I did my doctorate at the department for beneficiation and recycling of solid wastes at the RWTH Aachen.
In the context of my doctorate I contributed to the development of a new guideline on solid waste sampling (LAGA Guideline PN 98) at the DIN e.V..
In 2002, after finishing my doctorate, I obtained the Lise-Meitner scholarship (of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia), which allowed me to work at the ‘Natural Resources Canada’ Institute in Ottawa (Canada) for two years. During my stay at the Institute I realized a study on the environmental impacts of recycling technologies for used tires.
After successfully acquiring and working on a research project dealing with energy efficient feed production at the University of Bremen (Institute for Integrated Product Development), I changed to COAST at the University of Oldenburg in 2012.
At COAST I lead the projects HEC and Groen Gas. Besides, i am regularly assisting the Ingenieurinnen Sommeruni (female engineers summer school) as lecturer at the University of Bremen.
