Study Content

At the beginning of the program, students learn the basics and theories of sociology and political science as well as a broad overview of the German and EU political systems and the social structures of contemporary societies. An introduction to methods of empirical social research, an overview of statistical procedures as well as procedures and evaluation techniques of qualitative social research follow.

In the case of an extracurricular study goal, students can choose from a wide range of special sociology and political science areas of specialization and thus set an individual accent in their studies. Students studying to become teachers acquire the didactics of political education. The program is completed with the bachelor's thesis.
