In civic education, you will gain insights into fundamental theories, approaches, didactic principles and methods of civic education. In order to ensure a good connection to the specialised content, the course is closely linked to the BA in Social Sciences. In Economics Education, you will acquire specialised and didactic foundations in order to be able to cope with corresponding knowledge transfer processes and academic appointments in general education schools and extracurricular areas.

In Social Sciences, you will gain an overview of the theories of political decision-making and behaviour and the basics of analytical political science. The emergence, functioning and interaction of political institutions are at the centre of the module Political System Germany and the EU.

You will gain a broad overview of the determining factors of social inequality and thus of potential threats to social cohesion in Germany and Europe with regard to social structure analysis. You will familiarise yourself with fundamental approaches to normative and positive political theory, establish links to current social developments and reflect on these critically.

In the field of economics, you will learn about key microeconomic and macroeconomic issues as well as business management issues and be able to classify these in overarching contexts.
In addition to internships, you will establish further practical contacts for the respective professional field with schools, companies, associations, administrations and foundations, for example through explorations, expert discussions and project work in seminars and/or lectures.
