Sponsorship is rewarding

The beauty of the Deutschlandstipendium is its network structure: financed by the federal government and private sponsors, the scholarship programme is filled with life by universities, sponsors and scholarship holders. The University of Oldenburg therefore promotes personal contact and exchange between educational sponsors and scholarship holders.

Concept

Relationships between sponsors and grantees are established each year. Depending on which students receive a scholarship, existing relationships may be renewed or new ones begun. The first acquaintance meeting takes place annually in late fall.

Scholarship award ceremony

At the scholarship award ceremony at the end of the year, new sponsors and sponsored students get to know each other, while already established contacts can be deepened. The University invites all sponsors who have donated a full scholarship as well as all scholarship holders and their families to this event.

The certificates will be awarded to the students in a festive setting. At the same time, selected scholarship holders will speak about their (educational) biographical experiences and the significance of promoting young talent for their personal lives. The evening slowly draws to a close with shared conversations.

Reception for the Deutschlandstipendium

With the Deutschlandstipendium reception, which has taken place in spring since 2017, the University and the University Society want to make both the concept and the reality of the Deutschlandstipendium at Carl von Ossietzky University better known. The declared aim here is to deepen existing sponsorship contacts and to establish new ones.

Current sponsors and sponsorship recipients are invited to the reception, as well as other interested parties who would like to find out more about the opportunities offered by the scholarship programme.

The reception programme combines different perspectives on the Deutschlandstipendium with insights into research and teaching at the university. The academic presentations at the event each year come from a different faculty and thus allow the entire range of university research to be gradually represented.
