Structure

The Research Center is structured in four research clusters, in all of which professors and senior researchers from Universität Oldenburg as well as from associated sites -- Jade Hochschule, OFFIS, DLR Institut für Verkehrssystemtechnik, DLR Institut für vernetzte Energiesysteme, Fraunhofer IDMT, DFKI Forschergruppe -- participate.

Research Cluster 1: Foundations

Cluster 1 joins foundational and cross domain research topics with respect to digitalization.

Research Cluster 2: Health

This cluster joins the competences of RC HCPS researchers in the Health domain.

Research Cluster 3: Industry

Research Cluster 3 leverages applied research activities in the domains Mobility (especially Automotive and Maritime), Energy, and Production.

Research Cluster 4: Human Technology Society

The cluster is concerned with the multiple social feedbacks between human-cyber-physical systems, society and culture. In order to highlight these relationships and interactions between social and technical systems, they can be understood as socio-technical systems.
