PPRE warmly welcomed a delegation form University of Baghdad, Iraq, who are currently on a World Bank-funded study trip on “International good practices and technical know-how from Centres of Excellence in Europe”.

A delegation from the University of Baghdad led by the University President, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ansaf, visited the University of Oldenburg. The participants were welcomed by the President of the University of Oldenburg, Prof. Dr. Bruder, and the Vice President, Prof. Dr. Al-Shamery. The theme of the study trip through Europe was meetings with universities, technical colleges and research centers in Germany and Europe with a focus on renewable energies. In Oldenburg, after a general round of introductions, both the history of PPRE and the current curriculum were presented. A special focus was placed on project-oriented teaching in PPRE. A concluding laboratory tour then highlighted the special importance of the laboratories in the course of study.
