Funding and Support for Instructors and Students

Funding and Support for Instructors and Students

The University of Oldenburg and forschen@studium offer both students and instructors funding opportunities related to research-based learning. These are bundled in the program Forschendes Lernen (Research-Based Learning), which includes grants for instructional and student research projects as well as a qualification program.

Research-based learning refers to the following approach: Students design, perform and reflect on the research process and its fundamental phases (e.g., finding a research question, collecting and analyzing data, presenting results) and do so apart from their final theses. For more information this approach, please refer to University guidelines on research-based learning (currently available only in German).

This grant and support program is the continuation of project FLiF: Research-based Learning in Focus (2011-2021) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the Quality Pact for Teaching.
