Practical examinations
Practical examinations
In the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes, students are required to sit varying numbers of practical examinations in the subject of Music. The exact number and the specific requirements regarding content can be found in the individual study and examination regulations.
In the winter semester 2023/24, the practical examinations will primarily take place in the final week of the semester, i.e. from 29 January to 2 February 2024. Registration for the individual component examinations should be made directly with the course co-ordinator in the courses set up for this purpose. Please register directly with Christiane Abt only for the instrumental and vocal examinations in the Master’s programmes, as these are conducted by two examiners. All other practical examination components are supervised by one examiner, who is usually also the course leader.
Please feel free to direct any questions regarding the organisation of the final project or the content of the component examinations to me personally during my office hours on Wednesdays from 12 noon to 1 pm, during the specially allocated final project consultation hour, or by email to
