The Floristics Working Group offers people interested in botany (interested amateurs, students, professional botanists, conservationists, etc...) the opportunity for joint activities. Special questions are investigated within the framework of projects, but plants are also simply identified together or findings are exchanged or confirmed, or excursions are made to the surroundings of Oldenburg, but also to more distant areas.
We want to encourage people to further develop their own botanical knowledge of species and to further their education or simply to work on joint projects with like-minded people.

We also work closely with the Lower Saxony Plant Species Recording Programme in order to broaden the database for plant species protection in Lower Saxony and to encourage participation in the state-wide floristic mapping.
