Every year, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers an award worth 1,000 euros to an international student at the University of Oldenburg who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance and social or intercultural commitment.

Qualified students may be nominated by instructors, institutions/centres of the university, or fellow students.

To qualify for this award, students must:

  • demonstrate exceptional academic performance
  • show social or intercultural commitment
  • possess an international (non-German) school leaving qualification
  • be enrolled in the University of Oldenburg
  • be in at least their third semester (bachelor) or second semester (master), or else be a recent graduate or doctoral candidate (PhD)
  • not be a guest or exchange student
